FloorArmor 500 is a high-density needle-punched non-woven protection fabric designed to safeguard premium marble and granite surfaces during construction, installation, and finishing stages.
The membrane features a textured top surface engineered for safer handling during installation and a light grey-white bottom surface designed to lay flat against the subfloor for consistent contact and coverage.
Prepare the subfloor by ensuring it is clean, dry, smooth, and free from dust, protruding fasteners, and sharp debris. Unroll the membrane with the teal-green textured side facing up and the greywhite side against the subfloor, laying it flat without wrinkles or trapped air. Install adjacent sheets with an overlap of at least 3 inches (75 mm) and ensure the overlap remains straight and consistent throughout the run. Seal all seams to create a continuous waterproof barrier using suitable sealants; where required, seams may also be reinforced using suitable seam tapes for improved reliability. After seam sealing and detailing at edges and transitions are complete, proceed with installation of the final wooden flooring system as per the flooring manufacturer’s instructions.
